By car
From Leeuwarden you take the N357 to Stiens / Holwerd. After about 20 km you pass Ferwert on your right-hand side. Just after Ferwert you turn right (at the Q8 Petrol station) towards Burdaard. After 2 km you find Hegebeintum on your left.
From Dokkum you drive about 12 km to Hegebeintum via Bornwird, Raard, Lichtaard, Reitsum and Ginnum. Just before Ferwert you find the Hegebeintum mound on your right-hand side.
